Croatia: Institute of Economics, +3% growth in 2018
Slight deceleration to 2.9% in 2019
19 September, 20:51The Institute noted that the "steady growth" that started at the end of 2014 in Croatia is "confirmed by year-on-year growth figures for the first and second quarter" of 2018, 2.5 and 2.9 percent, respectively. The growth in Croatia is mainly driven by "personal consumption", a result of several elements, including steady real wage growth, higher pension transfers and incoming remittances.
The Eizg forecasted a slight deceleration of the GDP next year, with a projected 2.9% growth in 2019.
Unemployment will decrease from the current 9.9% to 8.8%, the Institute said. (ANSA).
