Tourism: Croatia,battle renactment between Venetians-pirates
More than 10,000 visitors expected at Omis harbor

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 16 AGO - The Croatian town of Omis, in
the southern part of the Dalmatian coast, will re-enact on
Saturday a historical 13th century naval battle between the
Venetian fleet and local pirates, Croatian media reported on
Thursday.
The regional Tv N1 recalled that the naval battle was lost by the Venetians, which were forced to pay tribute when their ships were travelling through the Brac channel.
The re-enactment of the battle was launched 12 years ago and every time attracts thousands of visitors. (ANSA).
