Croatia: media, 180 citizens leaving the country every day
Germany, Austria and Ireland favorite destinations for emigrants

(ANSA) - BELGRADE - Last year, nearly 180 persons left
Croatia every day only towards Germany, Austria and Ireland,
according to data on registration of foreign nationals
elaborated by the Croatian daily Jutarnji List.
The daily wrote that, according to data from 2017, more than 56,000 Croats registered in Germany last year, and around than 10,000 in Austria and Ireland, with around 65,000 departures in total, 178 a day. In 2012, the year before the Croatia accession to the European Union, only 14,300 Croats left the country to Germany, Austria and Ireland.
According to the daily, at least 250,000 Croatian citizens left Croatia to find better working conditions and higher salaries since July 2013 and many departures are permanent, as entire families are moving out of the country. (ANSA).
