The Italian Bishops Conference
(CEI) said Wednesday that migrants did not pose a threat to
Italy and it was time to stop using "words of exclusion" against
them.
Migrants, it said, are a "humanitarian drama" on which the
Church "feels called in an inevitable way in its conscience and
in its mission".
The CEI Council "has reiterated its refusal of words and
attitudes of exclusion, which consider the other as a danger or
a threat".
