Fear "makes
us crazy", Pope Francis said on a flight to Panama Wednesday
referring to the fact that fences to keep out migrants on the
US-Mexican border at Tijuana stretch into the Pacific Ocean.
Francis urged people to read an editorial in Vatican daily
L'Osservatore Romano entitled The Walls Of Fear".
The pope added that he would travel to Japan in November,
while he had been advised against visiting Iraq because it was
not safe.
Francis was travelling to World Youth Day in Panama City.
