Las Vegas police have reportedly
requested Juventus striker Cristiano Ronaldo to undergo DNA
testing to compare with traces found on the clothing of a woman
who has accused him of raping her.
The alleged rape victim is Kathryn Mayorga, an American
former model.
The request has been sent to the Italian authorities and the
news, published by the Wall Street Journal, comes as no surprise
to the legal team of the Portuguese footballer.
His lawyer said that the two had engaged in "consensual sex"
and so it would be normal for his DNA to be on the woman's
clothing.
