Valpolicella wines will be
featured on December 4 in New York as part of the conclusion of
the Valpolicella Wine Consortium's celebratory tour for the 50th
anniversary of the Verona-area wine.
The event will take place at SevenFifty House in Manhattan
with a walk-around tasting, organised with the Gallavant Group
and SevenFifty.
New York is a strategic market for Valpolicella wines, which
are loved by the city's residents, and 13% of Amarone is
exported to the US.
"In a time when the growth of Italian wine in the United
States is showing signs of slowing, it is important to test the
appeal of our wines in the New York market, which has always
conditioned the choices of American consumers, also in light of
the Christmas gift-giving season," said Olga Bussinello,
director of the Valpolicella Wines Consortium.
According to estimates by the Vinitaly-Nomisma Wine Monitor
Export Observatory in 2018, still wines in the American market
are growing moderately in volume (+0.9%) and also in value,
remaining within a +2% limit.
