An Italian woman stabbed her
husband to death after a row at Partinico near Palermo on
Wednesday, police said.
The victim, 64, had worked as an electrician for several
years in Switzerland and had only lately returned home, police
said.
The couple were in the process of separating, police said.
Partinico is about 20 km from the Sicilian capital.
The woman, 55-year-old Antonella Cover, has confessed to
murdering Filippo Mazzurco with several stab wounds to the
chest.
Italy has endured a wave of femicides by male partners or
exes, while a woman killing a partner is rare.
