A Nigerian man arrested on
suspicion of murdering a man in the former Olympic village (MOI)
in Turin is linked to the Nigerian mafia, police said Wednesday.
Nigerian Michael Umoh Onoshorere, 23, has long been deemed
close to the Eiye (Eagles), one of Italy's most deeply rooted
Nigerian mafia groups, police said.
He is believed to have killed his victim with a single blow
with a 50-kg gym weight, crushing his skull.
The murder took place on January 7.
Nigerian mafia groups run prostitution and drug rackets
across Italy.
