A car was torched outside the
home on the outskirts of Rome of Sergio De Caprio, the so-called
'Capitano Ultimo' (last captain) Carabinieri colonel who
arrested Cosa Nostra boss of bosses Toto' Riina in 1993, sources
said on Tuesday.
The vehicle, an Audi, was stolen.
De Caprio said he did not know whether the incident was an
act of intimation.
"Rome Prefect Paola Basilone and the experts of the UCIS
office (which assigns security escorts) will assess this," De
Caprio told ANSA when asked if he thought it was a threat.
"They know how to read concrete signals of danger very well".
