Prosecutors in Cagliari on
Tuesday opened a probe into the recent death of a woman who was
trapped and drowned in her car after torrential rains in
Sardinia.
Tamara Maccario drowned after a river broke its banks while
she was driving away with her husband and three children, who
all survived.
She was 44.
The probe posits possible charges of environmental disaster
and culpable manslaughter, judicial sources said.
So far no one has been placed under investigation.
